Original indie-folk from the southern edge of The Lakes
Our songs rock along, have catchy riffs, a range of instruments, include great harmonies and get people moving.
We are a 5-piece, originals, indie-folk band, based in Kendal. Southern Edge has been in existence for several years, has had personnel changes and new songwriters. However, irrespective of the changes, our band has kept some uniquely Southern Edge sounds and the spirit that makes us stand out. We incorporate “folk” instruments into songs that could be heavy rock, blues, reggae or even actual folk. Our vocals have a quality that we are proud of with harmonies that we love to sing. Our whole aim is to entertain and to move our audiences.
